This 2-day course with Alaska Mountain Guides gives participants a foundation of avalanche safety and safe winter travel awareness. After covering avalanche curriculum in a classroom setting, we’ll spend the rest of our time in the field learning to assess the snowpack,
evaluate terrain and perform effective avalanche rescues.
