The University of Utah Children's Dance Theatre, the performing arm of the University of Utah Tanner Dance Program, will premiere The Snow Queen. Once upon a time, an evil hobgoblin created a magic mirror that magnified everything bad and distorted all that is good. The mirror shattered into millions of tiny pieces, two of which lodged in the eye and heart of a boy named Kai, transforming his vision and heart completely. Kai’s devoted playmate, Gerda, is heartbroken when Kai disappears one cold winter day and sets off on a perilous quest to break the Snow Queen’s enchantment and rescue her beloved Kai.
