Westminster Presents a Master Class with Soprano Celena Shafer

Westminster College presents a vocal master class with renowned soprano Celena Shafer on Mar. 9, 2013 at 2 p.m. in the Vieve Gore Concert Hall at the Jewett Center for the Performing Arts. The event is free and open to the public.

Four Westminster students have been selected by audition to sing for the class.
Anna Hunter, Kelli Burke-Gabossi, Christopher Stockslager, and JannaLyse Erickson will perform an art song or aria, and then work with Ms. Shafer for 10-15 minutes on their pieces. The public is invited to observe the master class.

In her home state of Utah, Ms. Shafer frequently performs with the Utah Symphony & Opera where she appears this season as Rosina in their staging of "Il barbiere di Siviglia". She returns to the Phoenix Symphony for performances of "Carmina Burana" and to the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra for "Bach’s Mass in B Minor."
