This 20-30 minute spotlight tour will discuss Joseph Smith’s 1844 campaign for President of the United States. A “ballot” listing the campaign platforms for several candidates will be handed out to visitors. With no names listed on the ballots, visitors can choose who they would have voted for based only on the candidate’s policies. Joseph Smith’s campaign platform will be explained in relation to those of the other candidates. One of Joseph Smith’s original 1844 campaign brochures will be displayed during the program.
