The Solarwind claim is most famous for its unusual and large Bixbyites! However, the Topaz found here is also unique in that it doesn't turn clear in the sun light it turns pink! There are also the famous Red Beryl found at this location. Previously owned by J. Holfert and famous world wide for the stunning specimens it has produced. This trip has a limit of 35 rock hounds (children under 6 do no count towards trip limit). This trip is a one day trip and we will be meeting at the McDonalds in Lake Point (right off the Tooele/Stansbury Exit on I-18) at 7am the day of the trip. No Pets! The mine owner does not allow dogs, cats, birds, fish, reptiles, ferrets, hamsters, or other visiting pets at this location. Animals can NOT stay in vehicles including campers. Please do not bring your pets as you will be asked to leave the site, and we can not offer a refund or make up trip if asked to leave due to pets.
