Michael Kessler’s acrylic paintings are inspired by the land, by nature, by our human movement on Earth. Each piece is layer upon layer of sculptured acrylic paint, carefully applied and shifted on board, resulting in abstracted landscapes with depth and soul. Well respected in the USA, Mr. Kessler’s works are collected all over the world, are in numerous museum collections, and have been featured in such magazines as Architectural Digest and Art in America. Many works feature a high-gloss, luminous resin finish. And each painting is a true work of art. Shawna Moore approaches her art as an exploration into her imagination and her inner response to people, places and things. Rather than reporting on what is literally seen, her work relays intuition, impression, and interior. A well-collected and established artist, Ms. Moore is inspired by the landscape of Montana. The ability of encaustic (wax) paint to reveal and obscure creates mysterious surfaces and depth-filled fields of line and color. Layering her wax-based paintings on panel, the result is warm and inviting, as if one may reach into the painting to discover their own personal meaning. Both artists will be in attendance.
