Little Hole is a spot on the Green River about seven miles below Flaming Gorge Dam. It is important because it is accessible by automobile. Rafters and fishermen put in at a boat ramp just below the dam. Little Hole is the first possible takeout spot below the dam.
Fly fishermen refer to three sections along the Green River in this area. Section A runs from the Dam to Little Hole and it generally offers the best fishing for large trout. Section B runs from Little Hole down to Browns Park. Section C includes the Browns Park area down to the Colorado border.
Many fishermen drive to Little Hole and then hike upstream or downstream to gain access to productive fishing spots.
A nice, developed campground, called Dripping Spring, is located along the access road on the way to Little Hole.
