Twin Lakes and Lake Solitude
Length: 2.5 or 3 miles round trip
Difficulty: Easy

Description: From Silver Lake at Brighton Ski Resort, trails lead to Twin Lakes and Lake Solitude. Both trails wind through scenic forests and up moderately steep ridges. You can also do a loop hike past all those lakes. These are easy hikes through beautiful country.

Brighton Parking Area
From the parking area at Brighton, you can see Silver Lake. To get to the parking area, drive to Brighton Resort at the top of Big Cottonwood Canyon. Then follow the boardwalk out to the lake.

Silver Lake
Follow the well-established dirt trail to the back side of the lake. From there forks in the trail lead to the other lakes. The forks are signed and easy to find.

Twin Lakes
The hike to the Twin Lakes is 2.5 miles round trip from the parking area, along an easy, well-marked trail.

Lake Solitude
The hike to Lake Solitude is 3 miles round trip. Again, the trail is well-marked and easy to follow.
