Powder Mountain Resort

Powder Mountain ranks #1 for snow quality in the 2006 Ski Magazine readers' survey of North American resorts.

There's a difference between snow from heaven and artificial snow. Snow purists prefer Ogden's Powder Mountain Resort, where only genuine, fallen-from-the-sky Utah powder graces its steep slopes. Known for its gold medal terrain and excellent natural snow, Powder Mountain is a prime winter and summer destination. Its ski and board season usually lasts from mid-November to mid-April. During the summer months, mountain biking and hiking are available throughout its slopes. Various amenities include slopeside condos, specialty restaurants and shops throughout the area. Additional lodging is available in the surrounding area.

Powder Mountain is located 19 miles northeast of Ogden and 55 miles north of Salt Lake International Airport. To reach Powder Mountain from Salt Lake City, take I-15 north to Ogden's 12th Street exit. Turn east and follow the signs. From Park City take I-80 east to I-84, then west on I-84 to Exit 96.
