Utah Starzz
The Utah Starzz, one of the charter members of the WNBA, will tip-off their seventh season in the summer of 2003. Featuring Utah-native Natalie Williams at the power forward post, the Starzz have shown impressive strides towards a WNBA Championship. Williams, the 1998 MVP of the now-defunct American Basketball League, was named Utah's Female Athlete of the Century and brought her talents to the EnergySolutions Arena where she finished in the top five in the WNBA in scoring, rebounding and field goal percentage.
The Starzz also can claim the tallest player in the WNBA (and third tallest woman in the world) in Margo Dydek. At 7'2", Dydek has dominated the league in blocked shots and rebounding. The Polish-native spends only her summers in the states and her off-season playing on the Polish National Team.
The Delta Center, home of the Utah Starzz, is located just west of downtown Salt Lake City, approximately 10 minutes from the Salt Lake International Airport, at 301 West South Temple. It is two blocks from the Salt Palace Convention Center and Temple Square. The Will Call window is located in the main ticket lobby, one flight below the street level, on the Northeast side of the arena.
