|Natural Bridges Kachina Trail
Length: 1.4 miles round trip
Description: Kachina is an impressive natural stone bridge located in Natural Bridges National Monument. The relatively small size of its opening and its orientation make it difficult to see from the canyon rim. The trail to the base of the bridge in the canon bottom is short and relatively easy.
The trailhead is located along the Bridge View Drive loop in Natural Bridges National Monument. From the parking area, the route descends from the canyon rim using uneven stone steps and switchbacks. It crosses steep sections of slickrock where handrails have been installed to make hiking easier.
The trail leads right to the base of the bridge. From there you can return the way you came in or make a loop hike to another bridge. The loop from Kachina to Sipapu and out is 5.6 miles total. The loop from Kachina to Owachomo and out is 5.4 miles total.
