Pine Creek Nature Trail Length: 1.2 miles out and back Difficulty: Easy
Description: This short, well-maintained trail follows Pine Creek into a wooded canyon in Wasatch Mountain State Park. Printed guides are available describing plants and other attractions. Many forms of wildlife can be seen in this area. Spur trails allow hikers to change the length and difficulty of this hike, and turn it into a loop.
Trailhead The trailhead is at the top of the Pine Creek Campground, in Wasatch Mountain State Park. The trail is well-marked, easy to find and easy to follow.
Trails End The trail runs along Pine Creek, crossing the small stream at some points. The main trail only climbs about 200 feet in elevation and so hiking isn't difficult. Trees provide shade in most areas.
Simply return the way you came in, or jump onto a spur trail and explore the area. |
