Olympic Park Hosts Luge World Championships

The best luge athletes in the world will compete Feb. 14-20, at the Olympic Park near Park City, in their final competition of the season. Athletes from 25 nations will be challenging for the coveted title of world champion in women's singles, doubles, men's singles and a team competition.

Opening Ceremonies will be held on February 17 at the Canyons Ski Resort. This is a free event and will include live music at 4 pm with the ceremonies beginning at 5 pm.

The park will open on competition days two hours prior to the event. Merchandise and food concessions will be available for purchase during the event. However, no tours will be available on competition days. This is being billed as the biggest event at the Olympic Park since Salt Lake hosted the 2002 Winter Games. More details.
