Find 14 courses within a 45(ish)-minute radius. Think of it as the world’s longest cart path.

St. George, Utah, is named for the patron saint of golfing, a stately fellow who hit the desert links back when your caddy was a burro that had to pack your clubs and three days’ ration of water.

This year, skip Scottsdale — too hot! Leave Las Vegas — too many distractions! And pass on Palm Springs — too many old guys! Make your way through Greater Zion’s golf courses (for half the price of those other places!).

Here they are, roughly from west to east.

Black Desert

The reviews are already raving about the newest course in town — Black Desert — so be sure to pack glow sticks and your clubs. Oh, and BTW The PGA and LPGA Tours hit this course too.

Though this country club served as the backdrop for Disney’s “High School Musical 2,” the regulars here are a bit more … mature. And it doesn’t look the same as it did back then. The course reopened in 2022 after a 17-month renovation.
