Jeep Tours

A private Jeep tour is one of the best ways to see Capitol Reef, the second largest National Park in Utah. Our guides will drive you into the rugged backcountry where you'll find solitude amongst the jaw-dropping scenery. Water and snacks are included and a picnic can be added for a safari-style dining experience in the wild.

Cathedral Valley Full Day

Waterpocket Fold

Explore the southern district of Capitol Reef known as the Waterpocket Fold and northern part of Grand Staircase-Escalante on the Burr Trail. We drive the Burr Trail switchbacks, hike to Strike Valley overlook, and visit slot canyons on this adventure. 

Half Day Cathedral Valley 

Duration: 3-4 hours
Cost: $175/adult, $125/child

Choose between the upper or lower Cathedral Valley to visit the Temples of the Sun and Moon or the Upper Cathedrals on a shorter 3-4 hour tour.

Bentonite Hills

Factory Butte & Goblin Valley

We adventure in the unique lunar landscape of Factory Butte, with option to visit the iconic, photogenic Temple of the Sun and Moon inside Capitol Reef or take a seldom traveled 4×4 road to Goblin Valley State Park hike amongst the hoodoos, caves, and cliffs.

Custom Photography Tours

Duration: 2-10 hours
Cost: Starting at $125 per person

We know the lighting, timing, and angles to help photographers capture some of the most photogenic places in the Southwest. We will plan a custom trip for extra time to set up tripods and change lenses, or combine areas for the ultimate phototour of Capitol Reef! Sunrise and sunset departures available. 

Stargazing Tours

Capitol Reef is known for its incredibly dark night sky and mesmerizing stars. Knowledgeable guides point out the constellations, share fascinating space science and stories, and our telescope reveals nebulas, galaxies, and planets! Public Star Parties are hosted on Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday with private tours also available many nights. 

Duration: 1-2 hours
Starting at: $20 Children (ages 5-14), $35 Adults

Private stargazing tours are available. $250 for 1-4 people – additional children (5-14) $35 – additional adults $50. Contact for large groups and events. 

Guided Hiking Tours

Sleeping Rainbow Adventures will help you discover hidden gems of Capitol Reef and Grand Staircase Escalante on exciting hikes fun for the whole family. Narrow slot canyons, waterfalls, natural arches, hoodoos, cliffside overlooks…the incredible diversity of Capitol Reef provides something for everyone.

Capitol Reef Slot Canyon Waterfalls

The perfect hike to beat the heat! One of our favorite hikes in the park. It’s also the best hike for the summer, the water is cool and refreshing! We’ll be hiking 6 miles one way down a narrow canyon with running water, climbing past waterfalls, and sliding down a cascade into a natural pool as a glorious finale.

Cost: $75/child (ages 4-14), $100/adult

Slot Canyon Experience

Slot canyons are one of the most magical experiences in southern Utah –  squeezing through a narrow canyon with towering rock walls is an adventure like none other. There are many options varying from easy to strenuous and some may require all day hiking, scrambling, and even rock climbing skills to navigate boulders and cliffs. SRA will help you plan the perfect outing for your group.

Duration: 4-8 hours
Cost: Half Day (4-6 hours): $100/child, $150/adult; Full day (6-8 hours): $150/child, $225/adult, lunch included

Lower Spring Canyon

Every twist and turn through Spring Canyon reveals new vistas of towering cliffs, spires, and domes set amid a rugged landscape. This moderately strenuous 10 mile trek is perfect for those who want to thoroughly soak in the atmosphere and aesthetics of a stunning canyon. A shuttle for this one way hike is included. 

Duration: 5-7 hours
Cost: $125/child, $200/adult - lunch included

Grand Staircase-Escalante Exploration

Explore the spectacular Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument in a half day or full day adventure with endless options of slot canyons, waterfalls, arches, and rock art to choose from. Contact us directly and we will plan a custom trip tailored to you and your group's desires and abilities.

Cost: Half Day (4-6 hours):  $125/child, $200/adult - Full Day (6-10 hours):  $200/child, $300/adult, lunch included

Yoga Classes

Relax and reconnect with nature with a private yoga class. All levels and groups welcome. This one hour yoga class can be added on to a tour or we can come to your lodging.

Duration: 1 hour
Cost: $15-$30 per person, depending on group size (requires two bookings minimum)

Backpacking

Journey to some of the most incredible destinations in Southern Utah! Sleep under the stars, explore remote canyons, and cool off in swimming holes and waterfalls. There’s so much fun and adventure to find, and so many memories to create!

Options include 2-5 days: Halls Creek Overlook, Upper and Lower Muley Twist, Spring Canyon, Escalante River, Boulder Mail Trail, Grand Gulch, and more in the Capitol Reef, Grand Staircase, and Bears Ears area. 

Food, transportation, permits, and experienced guide (Wilderness First Responder certified) is included. Gear rental and porter service is also available.
