St. George ATV Trails
There's lots of sand and dunes to pummel in the St. George area. Hit up Sand Hollow State Park or Coral Pink Sand Dunes State Park. Remember, safety first--you wouldn't want to break your coccyx or anything. Two of our most popular ATV areas are located near St George. One is at Sand Hollow State Park and the other is at Coral Pink Sand Dunes State Park. Both offer ATV routes and play areas amid picturesque sand dunes.
ATVs are not allowed to operate in Zion or Grand Canyon National Parks.
There are numerous rough 4X4 roads in this area that provide plenty of off road excitement. Recommended areas include:
- The Arizona Strip, between the Utah border and the North Rim of the Grand Canyon.
- The Beaver Dam Mountains west of St George.
- The Pine Valley Mountains north and east of St George.
Vehicles should stay on existing roads in these areas. Portions of these areas are protected as wilderness; vehicle travel is not permitted in wilderness areas. Get travel maps from the managing agencies (BLM for the Strip and the Beaver Dam Mtns, the Forest Service for the Pine Valley area).
