Utah ATV Offroad Trails & Guides
With so much of Utah designated as public land administered for recreational use and hundreds of miles of backcountry trails, great four-wheel drive or ATV terrain is never far away!
In many areas of the state four-wheel drive and all-terrain vehicle (ATV) rentals are available. Guided backcountry trips employing four-wheel drive or all-terrain vehicles are an excellent way to see some of Utah's most beautiful and untouched landscapes.
Think you’ve found the perfect point? Spectacular scene? Vibrant vista? Don’t lose that lovin’ feeling when you’re gone. Stick to the designated trail like it’s the road home to your long lost love, so your sweet spot will stay true to all those gushy feelings you had about it the first time. And just like any long-lasting relationship, tread lightly:
-
Drive over obstacles, not around them. You gotta face those problems head on.
-
Steer clear of stream and river banks, cause it’ll be nothin’ but troubled waters when those banks erode.
-
Avoid roosting. Nobody looks good with dirt in their teeth.
-
If you gotta winch, use a wide tree strap. Don’t go breakin’ the heart (of the forest).
-
Yield to non-motorized recreators: bikers, hikers, horses. Your mama didn’t teach you manners for nothing.
-
Before and after you hit the trail, give your ATV a wash to keep invasive species from hitching a ride. No one likes a mooch.
-
And remember, it’s not all about you. Get to know other people checking out your favorite find. Maybe they have an even better viewpoint.
