Historic Union Pacific Rail Trail State Park


The Historic Union Pacific Rail Trail runs for 28-miles. From Park City, it follows Interstate 80 through Wanship and Coalville to Echo Reservoir. It is open for various kinds of non-motorized recreation. Popular activities include hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding, jogging, Nordic skiing and wildlife watching. The Rail Trail is managed by the Mountain Trails Foundation.

This multi-use trail follows the old Union Pacific right-of-way. It parallels I-80 and cuts through scenic mountains and agricultural valleys.

This trail system runs from Park City to Echo Reservoir, which is adjacent to the town of Coalville.
