The University of Phoenix's convenient scheduling format allows students to take one course at a time, which each course lasting just five or six weeks. Students attend class for four hours, one night a week, then meet in study groups on their own time. The University believes that this format is not only more conducive to learning but allows students to complete their degree in less time than traditional colleges.
