Mystic Hot Springs
Located off the beaten path, in Monroe, Utah are the Mystic Hot Springs. More than just a warm, soothing soaking area, they offer an experience in art and nature with sweet views of the surrounding mountains during the day as well as dark sky Milky Way magic at night.
The soaking area consists of two pools - a 2-ft deep pool with a waterfall and a 4-ft deeper pool, in addition to six vintage bathtubs to relax in. Hot spring temperatures range from 99-110 degrees Fahrenheit.
Lodging is also available at the hot springs with a variety of options including camp spots, rooms, cabins and buses. There is also a concert venue on site with three stages. Check their website for the concert schedule.
Soaking tickets can be reserved in advance through their website. They cost $15 for adults and $7.50 for children (10 and under). The spas are open 24 hours.
Getting there:
From Salt Lake City: take I-15 South to the Scipio exit (188), then take Highway 50 east approximately 25 miles to I-70 West. From there take exit 31 and take a left at the bottom of the off-ramp. Continue for 2 miles and then go right on Highway 118 for 3-4 miles to Monroe. Turn left on 100 North, drive up the hill five blocks to the big white building at the end of the road.
