Where is (Blank) Ski Resort in Utah?

You may think Utah is a dry desert, but maybe don’t tell the mountains. They like to think it’s s’no much more.

Other states may have a ski resort or two, but Utah? We figure we may as well use all the mountains. From the tiptop to the (near) bottom, you’ll find snow-covered slopes ready for schussing.

Where is Alta? | 10010 Little Cottonwood Canyon Road

Alta Ski Resort is near the top of Little Cottonwood Canyon, about 25 miles southeast of Salt Lake City. Take State Route 210 to Alta.

Where is Beaver Mountain? | 40000 East US-89

Beaver Mountain is the northernmost ski resort in Utah, less than 30 miles east of Logan. Get there by taking U.S. 89, then State Route 293 to Garden City.

Where is Brian Head? | 329 UT-143

Brian Head Ski Resort is Utah’s southernmost resort, located some 240 miles south of Salt Lake City and about 200 miles north of Las Vegas. Take I-15 to Parowan, then head up the mountain along State Route 143 to Brian Head.

Where is Brighton? | 8302 S Brighton Loop Road

Brighton Ski Resort is approximately 35 miles from Salt Lake City, located at the top of Big Cottonwood Canyon. Take State Route 190 up Big Cottonwood Canyon Road to Brighton.

Where is The Canyons? | 4000 Canyons Resort Drive

The Canyons was renamed Canyons Village and is now part of Park City Mountain Resorts. Drive east on I-80 toward Park City; it is around 30 miles from Salt Lake City.

Where is Cherry Peak? | 3200 E 11000 North

Cherry Peak is one of two ski resorts in Cache County, about 15 miles north of Logan — or 100 miles from Salt Lake City. Cherry Peak is located in Richmond, off of U.S. Route 91.

Where is Deer Valley? | 2250 Deer Valley Drive 

Deer Valley Ski Resort is in Park City, about 56 miles from Salt Lake City. Get to Deer Valley via I-80, turning onto State Route 224 at Kimball Junction.

Where is Eagle Point? | 150 S W Village Circle

Eagle Point Resort is in Beaver, Utah, about 220 miles south of Salt Lake City and 240 miles north of Las Vegas. Take I-15 to Beaver, then head east on State Route 153 to Eagle Point.

Where is Nordic Valley? | 3567 Nordic Valley Way

Nordic Valley is located in Eden, about 55 miles northwest of Salt Lake City. Drive via I-15, then take State Route 134 to reach the resort.

Where is Park City Mountain Resort? | 1345 Lowell Ave

Park City Mountain Resort  is just 32 miles from downtown Salt Lake City. From there, drive east on I-80. At Kimball Junction, head south on State Route 224 to the resort.

Where is Powder Mountain? | 6965 E Powder Mountain Rd

Powder Mountain is about an hour — 54 miles — north of Salt Lake, in Eden. From downtown, take I-15, then merge onto U.S. Route 89 toward Powder Mountain.

Where is Snowbasin? | 3925 E Snowbasin Road

Snowbasin Resort is in Huntsville, approximately 20 miles south of Ogden or 42 miles north of Salt Lake City. From the south, head to Snowbasin via I-84; from the north, head east on State Route 39.

Where is Snowbird? | 9385 Snowbird Center Trail

Snowbird Resort is nestled in Little Cottonwood Canyon, just below Alta. Take State Route 210 up the canyon to reach Snowbird.

Where is Solitude? | 12000 Big Cottonwood Canyon

Located up Big Cottonwood Canyon, Solitude Mountain Resort is just below Brighton. Drive up State Route 190; Solitude will be to your right.

Where is Sundance? | 8841 N Alpine Loop Road

Sundance Resort is 15 miles northeast of Provo —  about 50 miles south of Salt Lake City. The ski resort is located along State Route 92.

Where is Woodward? | 3863 W Kilby Road

Woodward Park City is less than 30 minutes from Salt Lake City. You can get there by heading east on I-80 for about 24 miles.
