This is a steep, scenic and shady trail located in Big Cottonwood Canyon that takes you along a stream and through heavily wooded pine forests and several beautiful meadows.

During summer, the meadows will be packed with wildflowers. Due to the strenuousness of this hike (there are few flat stretches), it is not crowded and you’ll likely have the trail mostly to yourself. Stop and take a breather at the beaver pond at the way up and admire the breathtaking views of the high meadows and surrounding Twin Peaks. No pets allowed.
