Camping is very popular in the Flaming Gorge/Uinta Mountain area, and there are many excellent campgrounds. Advanced reservations are recommended for summer weekends as campsites fill up fast at the reservoir and at popular spots in the forest. Read more...
This area is located within Ashley National Forest, and the Forest Service controls camping regulations. Dispersed backcountry camping is allowed throughout most of Ashley National Forest, away from popular developed areas.
